The Concord Building Team finished its annual building trip from July 5th to July 10th, traveling to Hillside Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri. There were 54 in attendance, with an average age of 45. Hillside is adding about 20,000 finished square feet, including a gym, kitchen, bathrooms, storage, classrooms, two missionary apartments, and a stage area. Both the east and west ends of the additions will be two stories. It will be a red iron structure with wood framing. The team worked on hanging and finishing drywall. Team members provided morning and evening devotions each day. A highlight of this year’s trip was that a Hillside church member provided an evening adventure to Fantastic Caverns for all our Building Team members.

Next year’s building team project is scheduled for the first full week after the 4th of July: July 5th – July 10th, 2027. Since the 4th of July is on a Sunday, the team plans to travel on Monday, July 5th, and work through Saturday, July 10th. Location TBD.
