Concord Builders Team

This Year’s Project:

Concord Baptist Association Building Team spent July 7th-12th in Bethany Missouri working on a building addition at Immanuel Baptist Church. We had a total of 67 people (adults and children) attend this year. The addition included a gym, concrete safe room, bathrooms, and many classrooms. Our construction team, headed by Steve Gramblin (Freshwater) and Andrew Kuttenkuler (Oakland) worked on several projects while there. Primarily we hung and finished drywall. We also did some exterior work including siding and fascia. In addition, we built some interior walls in the safe room.

Along with our construction workers, our team also includes a kitchen crew and a childcare team. Our kitchen crew provided many delicious meals and snacks for the team throughout the week. Our childcare team provided full-day Bible school for our construction team members’ children. Both of these groups are vital to our success each year and we are always looking for more volunteers!

While the construction of the site is a large part of what we do each year, our main goal of the CBA Building Team is to bring glory to God in the work that we do. Our Chaplin, Jessica Homan (Fortuna) led us each day in prayer and devotions. We had several in the group provide devotions and special music in the evenings. We also enjoyed worshiping with Immanuel Baptist Church on Sunday and Wednesday evenings during the week.

$50/person

Lodging:

Each team member is responsible for their lodging which may be in campers, bunking in the church, at a local motel, or commuting.

Who can participate?

Anyone age 12 and up is invited to join the CB Team. Youth must have an adult sponsor on site. Childcare can potentially be arranged for those with younger children if requested before the June 15 deadline.

Experience is not necessary. The team willingly takes on any assignment given. On-the-job training is a regular occurrence! Most work/mission sites are within the State of Missouri.

Registration:

Paid registrations and t-shirt orders are due by June 15th.
